Clay trivets created by artist Lynne Crumpacker for only $5 each are available at the museum. A real collector’s item! The museum has fantastic volunteer opportunities requiring only 3 hours a month. If interested please contact the Museum.

The food pantry is open the 3rd Thursday every month from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Proof of income or food stamps are required. Monetary donations can be mailed to PO Box 292 and are much appreciated.
Parks
Mount Jackson Town Park and Pool – 326 Wunder Street (540) 477-2670 (Pool and Shelter rentals available.)
The Town of Mount Jackson Park offers a nice assortment of recreational areas. Kid’s Cove Playground & the basketball courts are adjacent to the parking lot. A newly-paved walking loop can be found around the lower baseball field and another baseball field is located behind the Town’s pool. Benches along the walking loop offer a comfortable place to sit and rest and enjoy the scenery. Experience the new zip-line and bench swing near the shelter as well as the recently updated playground.

The pool season is affected by the Shenandoah County Public School schedule and is subject to change. The pool is open daily from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The admission fees are as follows:
Ages 12 to Adult: $4
Seniors (55+): $3
Ages 6-11: $3
Ages 5 & Under: Free with paying adult
Pool passes are available at the Town Office only.
The fees are as follows:
Individual: $75
Family (up to 4 members): $150 (each additional family member is $20)
*Fees must be paid by cash, check, or money order.
Our Soldiers Cemetery – located on US Route 11, Main Street, just south of Nelson Street.
